• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

Switching Database Server Engine

I know there is already a doc for this ( http://download1.parallels.com/Ples.../plesk-8.2-win-reconfigurator-guide/30856.htm ) but unfortunately it seems to have been written by the helpful folks at Ikea. I tried following the steps, but the lack of specifics has led me to assume that the Plesk documentation is almost as bad as their Products and support. Can anyone here provide me with a simple process to switch my Plesk DB provider to mysql? I can follow the steps in the aforementioned help doc, but it errors out that access is denied for root@localhost. Should I be using a different username here? I have no means of connecting to the mysql instance that listens on 8306 so I cannot even see what I am doing wrong. Can anyone shed some light here.
