Upgrading from 7.6 to 8.2

Hey guys im just alittle worried, I have approx 40 sites, most are dynamic database driven with cascading sets of permissions and applications.

How do I upgrade from Plesk 7.6 to 8.2 and what effects will it have on live websites, email accounts and folder permissions?

Do they have to be configured in the PLESK interface or directly in IIS?

What are the best steps! HELP!

Any knowledge is valuable, as im a newby when it comes to upgrading Plesk.

PS: Im upgrading Plesk due to recent problems with PHP4 Flagging our ecommerce sites as unsecured, we tried to upgrade to PHP5 using a knowledgebase workaround, this failed due to some of our sites not working with PHP5 for some unknown reason.

To update Plesk to 8.2 just download Network Installer for Plesk 8.2, you can use the following link for that:

http://download1.swsoft.com/Plesk/Plesk8.2/Windows/8.2.0/plesk_8.2.0_build070705.17.exe

and run it. But before upgrade please don't forget to do full Plesk backup (just in case).

what will be affected?

Does the setup migrate everything for your all your settings permissions databases etc.?

Yes, everythig is migrated and updated (if necessary), Plesk does it automatically
