Suddenly my server (Dell SLES 10 with OES 2) becomes very slow and (almost) cannot response to email/web requests.
Using the "top" command, I can see 20-30 entries like the following:
/usr/sbin/httpd2-prefork -f /etc/apache2/httpd.conf -DSSL

At this moment, the memory and the swap available become very low and I'm wondering why are all comming.

Is that a normal behaviour (hopefully no!)?
What is the "normal" amount of such commands?
Where can I find where these errors are comming from?
Is it possible that this error is comming from a specific request on a website (why -DSSL)?

Thank you in advance for your help.
