I used the updater from 8.3 to 8.6 with no problem. If you're concerned, you can spend the extra ten minutes or so and do the 8.4 upgrade first.

Cranky, There was plesk 8.0, 8.1, 8.2, 8.3 and 8.4 all on 2.6 kernels. So skipping 8.5 due to a kernel number doesn't make any sense.

I think he was trying to say that they were using the old linux kernel versioning convention, where the odd releases (2.5 for example) was for development and the even releases (2.6) were the production ones. Obviously Linus doesn't do that any more, or we'd have a 2.7 kernel.
