Hello,

I’d like to share an experience I’ve had when trying to install extensions on Plesk on an Ubuntu system. Perhaps it can help someone. Each time I try to install an extension on Plesk under an Ubuntu system, I face this error message : meta.xml file corrupted. UFHH01 has given me the way to solve this problem talking me of the extension utility. Here is what I do with it :

1) I download the extension on my server

2) I unzip it, create the folders and copy the files following the instructions on the file structure found here :

http://download1.parallels.com/Ples...extensions-guide/index.htm?fileName=71076.htm

PRODUCT_ROOT is /opt/psa on Ubuntu and EXTENSION_ID can be found in the meta.xml file between the <id> tags.

3) I use the extension utility as follow to register the extension ( http://download1.parallels.com/Plesk/Doc/en-US/online/plesk-unix-cli/index.htm?fileName=71031.htm ) :

/opt/psa/bin/extension -r EXTENSION_ID

This way I can use my extensions.

I’ve tried the -i option to install the zip file extension but it fails with the error message.
