My question is could a CA do that, technically? It wouldn't work for every single plesk setup ,but they could test for that when the cert is ordered.

Why isn't this easy? That is my question. The easy part was paying out money. There is a link in plesk for obtaining ssl cert. I clicked it. It gave me a list of cert providers, I picked one. I filled out their form it took money from my bank, Then it sent mail containg four certificates...

i was pretty relieved when I got that email, because I was getting static from a guy who benefited from being able to say the mail was not getting through due to invalid credentials on the sending server. This removed his ability to do that. Feels good to be able to pass it on, too.

mxtoolbox made that report falsely on a domain I support. I verified with my vps provider, digital ocean, that my setup was valid. Then I called mxtoolbox. A guy named Jeremy answered. He said the mxtoolbox report was wroing. He provided me the following email:
