For some reason, there is an issue with communication to our port 465. It takes roughly 30 seconds (after socket connection is established) before the server throws the welcome message to the client. This is problematic for some mail clients. We yet have to find the cause. Communication on 587...

I have the exact same problem, takes 15 seconds before there comes any answer (welcome message) by postfix on port 465. You ever found the solution to this?

Thanks for your help. I think the wrong certificate was selected, at least the "Certificate for securing Plesk" was set to a different one then "Certificate for securing mail". I have changed "Certificate for securing mail" to match the other one. Issue seems resolved, will need to do some more...

Here some views on the message file. In the folder itself I see a mixture of files containing human readable data (mail message format).. and ones that contain binary garbage.
