Resolved New FTP user becomes visual owner of all files of the webspace on Alma 8.x

Hei Fabriyio and Peter. Thanks for opening and looking into this issue. @Peter Debik could you ask the devs if they think that the given solution would also fix the problem I reported in this comment Issue - New FTP user becomes owner of all files of the webspace I wont be able to test it, as...

Issue New FTP user becomes owner of all files of the webspace

Hei @fabrizioi Thanks for opening the bug report! I did not have the time to get back to this topic until now... I am not sure if the solution would also resolve the problem that I have found (killing pm2 processes), though. Will hijack your bug report and ask about it... Best, Felix

Issue New FTP user becomes owner of all files of the webspace

Hei there. I just was bitten again by this problem. And it actually is pretty serious, in my opinion. We have the main application running via pm2. It runs under one of the ftp users (so it does not have root permissions). We now have added a new ftp user and this KILLED the pm2 process...

Issue New FTP user becomes owner of all files of the webspace

Hei there. I have now started to setup the second server and the same happened again. I took some prints, but I am not sure how much they would help... And I checked the numeric ids, and @mow is right, they stay the same. Best, Felix

Issue New FTP user becomes owner of all files of the webspace

No, I did not. Only did ls -la. I will try this the next time I encounter this problem. But even if the ids would be the same, the only thing that is visible in the plesk panel is the user name, so it probably will cause confusion for every other user that encounters this bug/problem...

Issue New FTP user becomes owner of all files of the webspace

Hei there. Thanks @Peter Debik and @Kaspar for the super quick reply! Thanks as well to @mow for chipping in. Sounds pretty much right. I kinda remember that the error message was about process owning. I cant test this now, as the server is under full load at the moment. However, before...

Issue New FTP user becomes owner of all files of the webspace

Not sure if this is a bug or a feature, but it feels wrong. I am in the progress to migrate to a new server that runs Plesk Obsidian 18.0.47. I have a system user on a domain called user1. All files of the domain and subdomain are owned by this user. This is good. I now add a new FTP user...

Issue Composer dependencies require on Plesk

We had the same problem. As mentioned before, the monitoring plugin version 2.4.0 is the problem. To solve it use the already mentioned command `plesk bin extension --disable monitoring` to get back into the dashboard. From there you can update the monitoring extension from 2.4.0 to 2.4.1 and...

Issue Git Extension - How to delete old branches?

I have the same question. I have a lot of already deleted branches appearing in the branch select dropdown. I saw that all of the branches are in yourDomain.com/git/yourRepository.git/refs/heads/ I read here that it is "save" (note the quotes!) to simply delete those...

mariaDB on Plesk 12.5.30 - plesk-core-12.5.30- has missing requires of mysql-conector-odbc

Hei there. I installed mariaDB 10.1 on our CentOS 6.7 Server that runs a Plesk 12.5.30 (12.5.30 CentOS 6 1205150826.19). After some trouble it seems to be running fine now, but when I do a yum check it returns after several minutes the following: plesk-core-12.5.30-cos6.build1205150826.19.x86_64...

Resolved Error: Permission denied to remove subdomain ID XX

Hello IgorG, thank you that worked. Do you know if this also deleted all the folders that where created for the subdomain? Because the logs folder have not been deleted. If anybody finds that thread and wonders if this works with domains as well, yes it does: plesk bin domain -r domain.com...

Resolved Error: Permission denied to remove subdomain ID XX

Hello. I created a new subdomain on my server running Plesk 12.5.30 and changed manually the folder where the website files are stored. I changed my mind and want to delete the subdomain, but I get the error: Error: Permission denied to remove subdomain ID XX with XX the ID of the subdomain. I...

Resolved Do I have the Health Monitor in the "Web Admin Edition"?

It looks like even with the update to 12.5 and lots of grafic and layout improvements, this was ignored. This looks like they win some extra money with people that upgrade just for this feature... Or am I blind??

Health Monitor access from Server admin panel home

+1 In this thread (http://forum-dev.odin.com/threads/plesk-12-1-8-preview.322947/) it was said that you want to look into the HM issue when there are resources available. Any updates on this? I would have to pay 5,42€ every month extra to upgrade my licence, which I am honestly not in mood to...
