If you are still using CentOS 7.9, it's time to convert to Alma 8 with the free centos2alma tool by Plesk or Plesk Migrator. Please let us know your experiences or concerns in this thread: CentOS2Alma discussion
Thanks! It took a while, but now I could do some tests. I only disabled the firewall rule to deny all other incoming traffic. Then both FTP and SFTP worked on the subdomain.
This indicates to me that the existing FTP firewall rule is defective. Could you fix that in Plesk?
Also, in the...
I have tried with FileZilla. If I set it to FTP, I get the messages:
Status: Connection established, waiting for welcome message...
Error: Could not connect to server
If I set it to SFTP, I get the messages:
Status: Connected to subdomain.domain.com
Error: Connection closed by...
I have not used FTP access in a while, so I do not know exactly when it broke, but I have known for a while that only SFTP kept working after Plesk broke FTP.
Now I have to do a Wordpress update in a subdomain and can find no way to do it, because in the subdomain neither FTP nor SFTP works...
Solved
I was confused by some error messages in the logs, which did not have anything to do with the malfunction.
I received a second Plesk update and applied it in the hope that it might repair the damage. I am not sure whether that actually happened, but I found that one of the updates had...
Each of the commands only yields a one-line output:
/etc/init.d/courier-imapd start
Starting Courier IMAP server: courierlogger.
/etc/init.d/courier-imaps start
Starting Courier IMAP server with SSL/TLS support: courierlogger.
However, contrary to what they say, the services do not actually...
The two services "Courier IMAP server" and "Courier IMAP server with SSL/TLS support" are not running, and trying to start them has no effect. When I go to the Services Management page in Plesk and click on the start icon for either of the two services, nothing happens. The services are...
OS: Debian 6.0.6
Panel version: 11.5.30 Update #11 (updated from 11.0)
The two services "Courier IMAP server" and "Courier IMAP server with SSL/TLS support" are not running, and trying to start them has no effect.
Is this a known defect? Is there a workaround? Do you need more information...
I have migrated to a new server running Plesk 11.0.9 with postfix 2.7.1-1+squeeze1. On the old server email worked perfectly well, but on the new one I have this problem.
When I try to send mail from Thunderbird or K-9, I receive an error mail back, essentially with the message:

Migration defect
My best, but still vague guess on what's happened is this. The migration to one of the Plesk 10 versions was meant to turn each mailbox into a mail user plus mailbox combination. In fact, this actually worked for some of my mailboxes.
But the migration has a defect that...
Mailbox owners cannot change their mail passwords
The last postings did not help. The last one is particularly useless. You might as well write, "The sky is blue."
I have tried the mchk command and, as expected, is has no effect whatsoever.
I created a new mailbox, ran the script, and tried...
Thanks, but
1. This script is obviously doing a lot of work whose result is not what Plesk normally yields. Who could possibly guarantee that the result of this script is compatible with Plesk today and in all future?
2. I think the script does not solve the problem on hand, if the problem...
Most of my mail addresses have been migrated from earlier Plesk versions some time ago.
Unlike earlier Plesk versions the mail address owners cannot change their passwords. When they try to log on to the Plesk control panel with their mail addresses and mail passwords, they get the error...
That problem is also discussed in http://forum.parallels.com/showthread.php?t=108952 .
Your easiest solution is to tell all your users to use port 587 instead of 25. Check http://michna.com/server/ for settings, including port numbers and SSL/TLS settings.
