Sorry to bring that up again but I tried all the solutions mentioned above and its still stuck for one site. I'm using Joomla and currently the scan always starts with 98% and stucks that way for days/weeks until I kill the task. Any other ways to find a cause?

I fixed the issue myself. Do the following: apt-get install sed and then: ln -sf /bin/sed /usr/bin/sed Retry the install with the command I posted above.
