On Plesk for Linux mod_status is disabled on upgrades to improve Apache security. This is a one-time operation that occurs during an upgrade. You can manually enable mod_status later if needed.
Well, we get the same problem (it's true that not install php 5.6 in our case) and that the solution for an correct update... But good luck in your case.

The only test in this case, is try to not use any plan an use an custom limits (with unlimited value), and if you have no success, try to contact plesk team.....

Well, I am not sure that the previous task of backup calculate space is able to detect the real space what should be backup and what should be excluded in an same subscripcion in your case, sometime @IgorG will be able to confirm you this point... I suppose that this task directly dectect that...
