Thanks a lot. I asked Ionos several times for what might has caused this issue and they proposed to make a Plesk repair. Before I did that I wanted to ask here if there might be another problem. Thanks again!
Hello,
suddenly the mail administration of each Domain is missing, There are only 2 Options left (s. picture) but one cannot setup or change any mail addresses.
I'm logged in as admin so the permissions should be no problem at all.
Thanks for any hints,
Uwe Freier
Oops - I guess I mixed something up. I thought we are talking about the option "Website Import" within the dashboard of domain management. I didn't know that there is an extension Site Import aside from Migrator.
Many thanks. Although there must be a reason of Plesk's behavior and I guess this is logged anywhere Site Import worked in this case for me. Of course if the main focus was migrating mail accounts and mails it won't. But those domains I fortunately could migrate via migrator.
Sorry for missing information. Migration from 12.5 on a Ubuntu 14.04 to Obsidian/Ubuntu 22. I also was wondering about an error concerning IIS on Linux but the article from Plesk Support I linked above concerns to 'Plesk for Linux' so I think they know what they are writing.
HI Community,
Migration of one subscription dies without any entry in the migration results, there is no error displayed anywhere. Other subscriptions from the same source server are migrated successfully before and after trials to migrate the affected subscription.
After selecting the...
Thanks! At last the solution was there but also the information that this is a common problem resulting from the very, very restrictive default settings of fail2ban. Setting 'IP address ban period' and 'Time interval for detection" to 600 sec and 'Number of failures ...' to 5 are only useful if...
Hello Community,
I try to ban user with too many SASL authentication failures, the jail plesk-postfix does not seem to do this out of the box - at least I find a lot of tries in the maillog but no IP in its jail. There might be several reasons. First I'm a bit confused because I find a jail...
Exactly this behaviour I know from our old server (Plesk 12.5, Ubuntu 14.04, Postfix 2.11 - okay, it's very old) but the affected mails are processed without any problems there (no changes in mail body of redirects). Migrating to Obsidian 18.048, Ubuntu 22.04, Postfix 3.6 I face the problems...
There is neither an encoding nor a MIME / Content-type or similar given in the mail headers of the affected mails. Those mails result from a web application or a middleware and look very rudimentary in general.
Its literal as it is copied via clipboard from less/vi into herein (same in notepad e.g.). In a terminal in less/vi it's depicted as:
All umlauts are displayed identically so a substitution does not make sense, while php utf8_encode / decode does not produce useful output.
Dear Community,
I don't even know if this is a Plesk, Postfix or Dovecot problem but I have to start debugging anywhere and because the server is managed by Plesk, I start here.
Setup:
I set up a domain's mailbox and therein a mail forward to another mail address that is hosted local on the...
Now this matter becomes a bit strange. Because I couldn't find a solution yet I contacted Plesk Support (via 1&1 because my license does not allow to require direct support) and they refused to open a support ticket because Plesk 12.5 is end of life. How ridiculous! I want to migrate away FROM...
