    Fail2Ban Wordpress jail issues

Hi, I can't help you with getting fail2ban to work any better with ~300 domains, however -- I use a similar filter for failed WP logins and use this failregex: failregex = ^<HOST>.*] "POST /wp-login.php HTTP/.*" 200 I think with your filter as it is, you would be catching ALL posts to...

Install APC Cache on Plesk 12 with multiple PHP version

I don't think there would be any point in installing APC on PHP 5.6 as it already includes the Zend OPcache.

    SSL POODLE / SSLv3 bug

This is very helpful for hardening server against POODLE and LOGJAM -- thanks! However, it seems that the need to create custom templates (to add the ssl_ciphers updates and ssl_dhparam parameters) creates another problem ... as Plesk deploys updates that include changes to these web...

Problems with new Plesk-build PHP 5.6 on 12.0.18

Hi, I'm still having some pretty serious issues with sites that I'm testing with the new Plesk custom versions of PHP (I'm just using 5.6). Any site that I enable 5.6 on starts getting the "Premature end of script headers" errors in the error_log, and I also get occasional Server 500 errors...

Plesk 12.0 PHP 5.6 and WordPress

Hi All, I've been testing the new "multiple PHP versions" now available for Plesk 12.0 and I've been having a couple of issues I thought I would share and see if anyone else is having the same experience. Note: my server is CentOS 6.5 with Plesk 12.0.18 #51. I only host WordPress sites. I've...

WHMCS and Plesk 12 (502 Bad Gateway)

I had the same problem, but unfortunately I wasn't able to resolve it. Running WHMCS on a Plesk server simply isn't a good idea. Get yourself a Digital Ocean VPS for $5 and put WHMCS on there -- problem solved.

    Plesk 12.5 preview feedback thread

Hi, 12.1 is looking superb - great work - can't wait to use it -- so many great new features. I wondering about WordPress compatibility and PHP-FPM Nginx -- will this work with Process PHP with Nginx? WordPress uses .htaccess rules for permalinks /pretty URLs (also, many some WP plugins write...

Where is Plesk Panel's PHP binary?

    OK, thanks for your help.

Where is Plesk Panel's PHP binary?

Hi, Does Plesk's own server, "sw-cp-server" use a different PHP binary than is used for hosted sites? If so, where is it? I've found the .ini, /usr/local/psa/admin/conf/, but I can't figure out where the binary would be? I'm trying to run some WP-CLI commands, but some functions I have...

    Is ioncube required by Plesk?

Really?! OK, glad I checked. Thanks.

    Is ioncube required by Plesk?

Thanks so much for your comment. I was just going to comment out or remove the file at /etc/php.d/00-ioncube-loader.ini The line is: zend_extension=/usr/lib64/php/modules/ioncube_loader_lin_5.4.so I assume that doesn't affect PHP CLI?

    Is ioncube required by Plesk?

Hi, Just a quick question ... I run Plesk 12 on my servers and only host WordPress sites -- nothing else. I'm thinking about removing the IobCube loaders, in an effort to reduce unneeded php modules. Is IonCube required by any Plesk functionality, like APS or something else? I'm pretty sure...

Plesk Event Manager Commands - where does STDOUT go?

Thanks for your response. The only thing that page mentions is: ... (we cannot output information to stdout/stderr, as the script is executed in the background mode) But, what would be the consequences of writing to STDOUT? Does this mean STDOUT is sent to /dev/null? Will a script that...

Plesk Event Manager Commands - where does STDOUT go?

Hi, If a shell script is run via the Plesk Events Manager, where does STDOUT & STDERR go? (assuming that nothing in the script itself is redirecting it) Does it get automatically sent to /dev/null? Does it get written to a file somewhere? Is having a script produce output when run from Plesk...

    Error during /usr/local/psa/admin/sbin/statistics

Oh, OK. Thanks for your advice. I get no such warning on my other Plesk servers. Can you elaborate as to what the warning means? Thanks again.

    Error during /usr/local/psa/admin/sbin/statistics

Hi, On one of my Plesk 12 servers, when I run /usr/local/psa/admin/sbin/statistics I get the following error: WARNING during statistics_collector execution: : statistics[nnnn]: Executing logs preparation... (nnnn is a varied 4 digit number -- it changes each time) How can I debug this...

New Plesk 12 install has POODLE unpatched

Great, thanks very much for the info. It looks like this "disablesslv3" parameter is only used with NGINX configuration (?) and other services must be patched additionally?

New Plesk 12 install has POODLE unpatched

Hi, I just got a new Plesk 12 VPS with MediaTemple. As deployed fresh, the server has the POODLE vulnerability unpatched -- I would have thought Parallels would have new installs fixed by now? Anyway, rather than going through the lengthy patching process, as described here...
