Plesk 12.0.8 uses the mysql or mariadb provided by the OS. On my Centos6 server it uses mysql, on my Centos7 server it uses mariadb

you can find all config files under a special "system" vhost. E.g. on Centos: /var/www/vhosts/system/domain.com/conf/

although both methodes are supported you will see a lot of posts about problems during an upgrade. I do only migrations and they always work. So old server with Plesk 11.5, new server with Plesk 12 and them use the migration manager to transfer all domains, accounts, etc. to the new server.

Nice as additional theme, but not better than current default.

I have once had this situation when I had DNS-records for the domain in ipv4 and ipv6 but forgot to configure ipv6 for the website in Plesk.

Hmmm... almost :-) When I run #aum upgrade to update the rules I get an error on the /etc/asl/config statement. I changed it to MODSEC_RULES_PATH="/etc/httpd/conf/modsecurity.d/rules/tortix/modsec" and now #aum upgrade runs fine and it updates the ruleset.
