• Hi, Pleskians! We are running a UX testing of our upcoming product intended for server management and monitoring.
We would like to invite you to have a call with us and have some fun checking our prototype. The agenda is pretty simple - we bring new design and some scenarios that you need to walk through and succeed. We will be watching and taking insights for further development of the design.
If you would like to participate, please use this link to book a meeting. We will sent the link to the clickable prototype at the meeting.
  • Our UX team believes in the in the power of direct feedback and would like to invite you to participate in interviews, tests, and surveys.
To stay in the loop and never miss an opportunity to share your thoughts, please subscribe to our UX research program. If you were previously part of the Plesk UX research program, please re-subscribe to continue receiving our invitations.
  • The Horde webmail has been deprecated. Its complete removal is scheduled for April 2025. For details and recommended actions, see the Feature and Deprecation Plan.

Question How to disable forced advertisement "Hire a developer"?

We did not install 6.3.0 yet. We are still on 6.2.15. So this feature was deployed by accident to older versions? At least the setting does also work for 6.2.15.

Question How to disable forced advertisement "Hire a developer"?

Hello, as the title says: how can we disable that advertisement in the WordPress toolkit? We are actually not amused, that Plesk wants to catch out clients.

    Question How to optimize backups?

The built-in backup solution is not really useful for large Plesk servers with several TB of user data. On top typical backup recovery tasks of our clients like... a) Can I have a database copy from 3 days ago? b) Can you give me a mailbox copy from 5 days ago? c) Can I get a copy of my webroot...

Issue DNS requests are denied (allow-query-cache did not match) after upgrading from Debian 10 to 12

After digging deeper into our problem we did find the reason. "/etc/default/named" did not have the correct content (still default Debian 12). After updating the file to the Plesk specific default settings the DNS is working like a charm again: Maybe the Plesk team could add this info to a...

Issue DNS requests are denied (allow-query-cache did not match) after upgrading from Debian 10 to 12

Hello, after upgrading one of our older servers from Debian 10 to 12 the BIND domain name server does not answer to requests anymore. For domains where the server is the primary name server requests end up like this: Dig: Log: AppArmor looks good so far same as the bind configuration. But...

Issue fatal: Timeout before authentication for [IP-ADDRESS] port 44745

The anomaly is quite interesting and hard to catch. Changes to printk of the kernel have also no effect even with the lowest values. cat /proc/sys/kernel/printk 1 1 1 1 Everything with values of 0 (KERN_EMERG), 1 (KERN_ALERT) and 2 (KERN_CRIT) is printed in the terminal...

Issue fatal: Timeout before authentication for [IP-ADDRESS] port 44745

We can confirm the same problem on our Debian 12 Plesk servers after a fresh install. The minimal base system of Debian 12 is not affected. The same error messages are logged but not shown inside the terminal. After Plesk is installed the warnings are printed in the console.

Forwarded to devs SSL It! breaks renewal and usage of Let's Encrypt wildcard certificates when subdomains are involved

@Peter Debik At the moment we only have reseller licenses. So we cannot open support tickets as mentioned before. And our reseller does also not accept support requests. Maybe we will switch one affected server to a license directly from Plesk so we can open support tickets directly. But as the...

Forwarded to devs SSL It! breaks renewal and usage of Let's Encrypt wildcard certificates when subdomains are involved

Here is a bit of the madness we are facing every day, and this is just one server.

Input Plesk Obsidian 18.0.59 - stable enough for live deployment?

As feedback for anyone who did also wait with the rollout of this version. We did reach phase 3 by deploying 18.0.59 #2 to our live servers with hundreds of clients. So far all looks good. No negative feedback of clients in our ticket system.

Forwarded to devs SSL It! breaks renewal and usage of Let's Encrypt wildcard certificates when subdomains are involved

We see the problem now for the first time also for a domain, that has no subdomains but one extra domain in the subscription, that is forwarded to it. The wildcard certificate is not renewed and ends up in a freezing state as described in the bug report ("continue" and "cancel" buttons).

Forwarded to devs SSL It! breaks renewal and usage of Let's Encrypt wildcard certificates when subdomains are involved

We can confirm, that the problem also still exists same as mentioned in our bug report. E.g. one client wildcard certificate, that is not renewed since some days (4th of March):

    Issue Urgent: SSL Certificate Renewal

Plesk Onyx 17.8.11 Update 64 is quite old (13 August 2019). What OS are you using? Maybe this one is also already end of life and the OpenSSL library is outdated to generate correct CSR's (Certificate Signing Requests).

Forwarded to devs SSL It! breaks renewal and usage of Let's Encrypt wildcard certificates when subdomains are involved

@arupa No, there is no workaround, only a lot of manual click around. The bug also changes its behavior sometimes. Maybe because of some of the latest updates of Plesk and/or SSL It!. Here is one example scenario of an affected client (the ACTUAL RESULT is a bit different than in my bug...

Resolved Smart static files processing is only working for lowercase file extensions

Maybe as a little addition: the location directive does not change the filename that will be processed. So it doesn't matter what file system is used. Right now try_files is not even called because of the strict regular expression for capital letters in the extension part that forbids any match...

Resolved Smart static files processing is only working for lowercase file extensions

I think there is a misunderstanding of the problem. Files like: - MyStaticFileWithUppercaseLetters.txt are working already with the current location rule Only files with uppercase letters in the extension are handed over to Apache: - MyStaticFileWithUppercaseLetters_InTheExtension.TxT If you...

Input Plesk Obsidian 18.0.59 - stable enough for live deployment?

Hello @Kaspar , thanks for you annotations. The problem with the "bug free updates" we also see since over one year. Input Plesk Obsidian 18.0.59 - stable enough for live deployment?

Hello, I did open this thread to provide and get information, if the current Plesk Obsidian 18.0.59 release is stable enough to deploy it on live systems with hundreds of clients. To make sure everything runs smoothly and risks are minimized we already have a 3-step roll-out plan, when Plesk...
