  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

SSL sites receive 502 Bad Gateway when nginx is enabled

I have gotten all but one of my SSL sites to work. It seems for that domain the files/symlinks are not the same as on of my other SSL sites. I am thinking I might delete that user/domain and re-upload the files and recreate the database to see if it fixes the issue. I have tried rebuilding the...

SSL sites receive 502 Bad Gateway when nginx is enabled

When I turn on nginx for the server I am able to browse non SSL protected sites correctly. I receive a 502 Bad Gateway error on any sites that have an SSL certificate. Is there a fix for this? I have been unable to find one. I am running Plesk 12 on an Ubuntu server.

Resolved Plesk backup fills up usr partition

I would go into your /etc/psa/psa.conf file and change the location of the DUMP_TMP_D folder. This is where it puts those files temporarily. I created a folder at /var/tmp/ to hold them since my /var/ is my biggest partition. This should solve your issue. Example: # Backups directory DUMP_D...

Migrate to new server and new Plesk version considerations

When they say objects they are talking about the configuration of the domain as one object, the files in the domain folder as another, databases are an object, and then mail is its own object. Inside of those you can select individual accounts, databases, etc. If the new server is most likely...

Migrate to new server and new Plesk version considerations

I have always used Migration Manager and then use the Backups as a last resort. If you would like you could import all of your site content and ignore the e-mail for now. Once your sites are there you can add the sites to your hosts file (If you are using Windows or Linux) on your local computer...

    Contribution Plesk2Dropbox Backup Script

The current DropBox extension for backups would upload a file most of the day and then just have an error at the end. I could never get it to successfully upload the full system backup to my Dropbox account. Individual account backups seem to operate fine.

    Bind doesn't run

I would try this command in another terminal: tail -f /var/log/syslog | grep bind or you could do this: cat /var/log/syslog | grep bind The second one would show you any messages in the past regarding bind. If that doesn't turn anything up you could do this command to see if any logs contain...

How to rsync backup a Plesk VPS to Amazon S3?

I have used JungleDisk to backup to Amazon S3. They got purchased by RackSpace I think and don't charge for transfer if you use their storage instead. Storage costs are the same though. If you are unable to find a solution let me know and I can do a little more research. I've created a script...

Feature Request: OneDrive & Google Drive support for backups

I will look into that. I might include the ability to import a backup to the local repository from Google Drive if I were to do that and complete the package. Is there an example extension I can look at for structure?

    Contribution Plesk2GDrive Backup Script

Plesk2GDrive is a script I created that will take your most recent Plesk server backup, create a single TAR file, and then uploads that TAR file to Google Drive using the day of the week as the file name. This allows you to create a cron job at any interval greater than 24 hours. If you do a...
