  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Issue WP home pages redirected to plesk standard page

Hello, I have a new CentOs with Onyx installation and started to migrate a few wordpress websites (subscriptions) from another server, using the plesk migrator under tools&settings. At first I was blocked by the dedicated IP address (the message was: "There is not enough free exclusive IPv4...

Resolved mysql 5.5 and query cache size

Hi, on my installation I have noticed that the query_cache_type is ON, but the size is 0. I edited /etc/my.cnf to include the query_cache_size, but it is ignored, even after a reboot. Perhaps Plesk uses a different file for that or is it somewhere in the Plesk interface? Could not find it...

Issue Plesk FW interface and iptables

Further to this, I found out I have at least 2 files run at startup in /etc/init-d, one called firewall (with bad rules) and another one called psa-firewall, which executes a script (I guess using the Plesk interface rules). Shall I disable firewall? Why Plesk does not disable it when its rules...

Issue Plesk FW interface and iptables

Fail2ban is not the culprit, it was disabled and the issue still occured meanwhile. Last night there was a kernel crash and the system rebooted (it could have been at VMWare level, not sure). Anyway, I suspect my iptables were set to initial state during reboot by: - kernel: ip_tables: (C)...

Issue Plesk FW interface and iptables

Fail2ban has been restarted several times. If those errors are normal, then what is causing my iptables to be reset at an initial state that misses important elements and which causes my 504 nginx? It's systematic, not random, it has been going on from the beginning of this VPS, more than 2...

Issue Plesk FW interface and iptables

Not starting fail2ban at startup did not solve it (iptables reset still happening), but I found out that fail2ban, by the look of it, tries to reset the iptables at shutdown. If there's a reboot now fail2ban logs a bunch of errors indicating it tries to intervene in the iptables. Could that be a...

Issue Plesk FW interface and iptables

Hi Igor, that problem and associated patch seem to apply to centos 7, not 6. But perhaps I should try and prevent fail2ban from loading at system start. How would I do that, by the way?

Issue Plesk FW interface and iptables

Hello, the saga on this continues, but I have some new information. To summarize, after system reboot, the iptables rules are not kept and some default version is loaded (causing websites to be unavailable, 504 nginx timeout). I am obliged to go to the Plesk FW runles, disable them and re-enable...

It's a VPS on VMware. I ran last night an fsck on the main partition (sda1) and all looks fine, but the error is sitll there. There seems to be plenty of inodes free still. The disk space looks ok, except on those tmpfs and devtmpfs Filesystem Size Used Avail Use% Mounted on rootfs 23G 14G...

Question Plesk updates - Broken pipe error message

Hello, I am running the latest Plesk 12.5 on the latest CentOs 6.8. Usually Plesk updates run fine, but every time I have the following messages a couple of times in the update log: /usr/local/psa/bootstrapper/pp12.5.30-bootstrapper/bootstrapper.sh: line 345: $config.new: ambiguous redirect...

    HTTP/2 support released

Very interesting, I am impressed. Well, I have memcached running, would that help? Also, shall I upgrade to apache 2.4? Plesk does not have it and I 'd have to do it manually. Hard to do? What do you suggest? I read somewhere that it would be better to be on CentOs 7 for that (I am on 6, final)...

    HTTP/2 support released

Hi Trialotto, that's a very good explanation, I almost understood everythig :) Just on your statement about the nature of client implementations that won't support TLS. HTTP/2 support released

Yes, http/2 it seems to work on my apache 2.2 (at least that's what my browser says), is that normal? I am using nginx with apache and let's encrypt certificate on a test WP website and the browser shows the blue lightning.
