  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Question on max upload size for PHP

I've had a couple of clients lately run into the default max upload size for PHP of 2MB, it is easy enough to adjust this in the domains PHP settings however is there a downside to allowing a much larger upload size by default? Are there are security issues? Is it kept low to keep resource...

Any plans to support Plesk PHP packages on CloudLinux?

Not sure to be honest, I just went with CL7 as it was available and I needed a new server. I'm not what triggers the ability to install Plesk PHP's with CloudLinux though. It's either because I already had a Plesk PHP version installed before I converted my CentOS 7 server to CloudLinux 7 or...

Any plans to support Plesk PHP packages on CloudLinux?

Hi yabado, Oh ok, I had one of the Plesk PHP versions installed before I converted the server to CloudLinux, perhaps the option only shows when you do it in this order? Are you using Plesk 12.5 with CloudLinux 7? I'm not sure if you can in CloudLinux 6? I've also got another server with...

    Webmail aplication

Yeah try waiting an hour to see if it makes any difference. Does the corresponding A-record (smtp.example.info) point to the server with the mail account on it?

There appears to be three MX records set up. You could try removing the other two you don't need.

Understanding "FPM application served by nginx"

Hi Igor, thank you for the reply. So .htaccess rules will still work regardless of whether "FPM application served by nginx" is chosen? What is the difference between FPM served by Apache and FPM served by nginx?

Understanding "FPM application served by nginx"

When using the PHP handler "FPM application served by nginx", is Apache used at all? If not then I imagine that any .htaccess rules will not work also? In this case I assume the "htaccess to nginx" extension may be useful? Are there any other components that wont work when using this handler...

    Cannot Delete Email Address

Oh yep, I see where you are coming from. Yeah I suppose it wouldn't hurt to have a warning popup indicating that particular aliases will be removed along with the account.

Why Plesk is better than cPanel ??

I've never understood why people like cPanel over Plesk. The Plesk interface is so much more user friendly for new users. The one thing I don't like is the paid support, this should be included in the monthly license fees like any other subscription such as WHMCS. It doesn't leave a great...

    Cannot Delete Email Address

I don't see why anyone would think it's correct to deny the ability to delete an email account just because it has an alias attached :/

    FastCGI vs FPM results

Hello all :) I decided to make a comparison between a few of the different PHP handlers provided by Plesk 12.5, I thought you may like to see. All tests performed on an account limited by CloudLinux 7.1 LVE defaults and also within CageFS. Apache Benchmark was performed on the server the...

When trying to connect to a Plesk 12.5 server using the Plesk WHMCS module it comes up with the following error: FAILED: Error code: 0. Error message: Unable to find appropriate manager for this version of Panel. Plesk should be at least 8.0 version. I can confirm that the module works for...
