  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

    Understanding Application Vault Packages

I did a bit more digging. It seems that the plesk-application-vault package is a metapackage for ALL of the applications in the APS catalog. xxxxx:/opt/archive# aptitude show plesk-application-vault No current or candidate version found for plesk-application-vault Package...

    Understanding Application Vault Packages

Thanks for the reply Igor. That's what I thought was strange too. When I use either the command line parallels installer, or the Plesk updater from within Plesk, it says that the Application vault packages are not installed....but i've been using the Application Vault without problems.

    Understanding Application Vault Packages

I'm trying to understand the purpose of the "Application vault packages" component of the plesk updater/installer. I haven't installed this package, yet i'm able to use the Application vault to download and deploy web applications to my customers. If I don't need this installed to use the...

Unable to revert PHP from fastcgi to module

Wait......found the answer. For some reason one of the subdomains had fastcgi turned on too, so Plesk was leaving fastcgi on the domain. Once I made sure all the subdomains were set to run PHP as a module, I reapplied the setting and it's now running as a module.

Unable to revert PHP from fastcgi to module

I've got a domain which I enabled fastcgi for, but now I want to go back to running it with mod_php. But Plesk is not letting me do it. In domain/conf/httpd.include, there's references to fcgid even after I make the change in the control panel to run it as a Module. There's also a php5-cgi...

Upgrading Debian 4 with Plesk 9.2.1 to Debian 5 with Plesk 9.5.2

Hi, seeing as Debian has dropped security support for 4, i'm looking to upgrade one of our servers from Debian 4 with Plesk 9.2.1 to Debian 5 with Plesk 9.5.2. I was planning to upgrade Plesk first, then followed by Debian which i'm guessing will be the proper procedure. Has anyone done...

Unable to turn off spam filter for mail accounts

It's a debian 4.0 system, but I know what you mean. rsync is on the system. It's installed in /usr/bin/rsync. I've just edited /usr/lib/plesk-9.0/handlers-tmpfs and added a full path to rsync (it was just "rsync -aq" before). rsync="/usr/bin/rsync -aq" Lets see if that fixes that...

Unable to turn off spam filter for mail accounts

There are no error messages in the interface when I remove the account. There are some errors in /var/log/sw-cp-server/error_log but i'm not sure if they relate to this problem or not. Here's the error: mailmng: /usr/lib/plesk-9.0/handlers-tmpfs execution failed...

Unable to turn off spam filter for mail accounts

Plesk 9.2.1 running on Debian 4.0 Hi, I'm having an issue where the spam filter will not turn off for any mail accounts unless I run "/opt/psa/admin/sbin/mchk -v --spam-only" manually. Turning on the spam filter works fine though. Has anyone run into this issue and know how to resolve it...

Regression bug: Mail group messages from POP3 service user

Isn't anyone else experiencing this bug??

451 Error: queue file write error (only when using postfix)

Galaxy: unfortunately a lot of us don't know how to write our own filtering and delivery agents, which is why we have to rely on Parallels :) Heck we shouldn't even have to write our own code!

Regression bug: Mail group messages from POP3 service user

Seems to happen only with Postfix. I tried reverting to Qmail and I don't the bug.

Regression bug: Mail group messages from POP3 service user

Debian 4.0 When I upgraded to 9.2.1 from 9.0, I noticed that I started getting messages from POP3 Service User with an empty subject to my mail groups. The release notes say that a bug was fixed to that effect, although i've never really noticed the bug at all in 9.0. I've upgraded to 9.2.1...

451 Error: queue file write error (only when using postfix)

I'm starting to notice a trend of this problem being fixed for Red Hat/Fedora/CentOS type systems but not for Debian/Ubuntu systems. Has the fix worked for anyone with a Debian based distro? ------------- Debian 4.0

451 Error: queue file write error (only when using postfix)

    I'm running on Debian 4.0 i386 and i'm 100% positive i'm using the April 20th update of postfix-queue.

The updated fix hasn't helped in my case.

451 Error: queue file write error (only when using postfix)

Correction. It worked around the problem mostly. Instead of dozens of queue file write error messages a day, this has been reduced to 1 or 2. It certainly helps.

451 Error: queue file write error (only when using postfix)

Alas, i've managed to work around the problem by disabling ALL postfix plugins. Dr Web, Kaspersky, SPF, Domainkeys, and DNS blacklists. Not an ideal solution though.
