Don't you normally add this in: /etc/resolv.conf Not sure though. But might be a good starting point. We use our own two internal DNS servers, which are added in /etc/resolv.conf on every server we setup. The two internal DNS servers container several good/ast DNS providers, amongst others.

@grahaml perhaps you have hit your limits hardware wise? Perhaps a reboot has taken place in between? That would (also) explain why it's working again. Maybe try to restart the Plesk server next time if it happens.

@carlsson For your usage I would also recommend what Kaspar said in terms of Wordpress back-up plugins. However we use our own (written) back-up solution which backups Wordpress website at our datacenter (web files, database and a dump of the tables in question). Retention we have is 31 days...
