    Resolved web site hacks

I looked at the source and Malston Mill seems to be running WordPress 4.9.22 and Dittiscombe WordPress 5.6.10. Both have been compromised. I've notified both (I know one of the owners) but have had no reply so far.

    Resolved web site hacks

I've come across 2 holiday accommodation web sites that seem to be compromised by gaming equipment ads. To see this, Google on 'Malston Mill' and 'Dittiscombe'. Both have the correct link in to their sites, but short description is nothing to do with them. Click on the 3 dots and you'll see...

/usr/local/psa/etc/logrotate.d/* has disappeared from the cron jobs - if I re-instate it will I get a full set of rotated logs again?

My logs have been set up to be rotated weekly. This normally happens ~3:30 London time. Only access_ssl_log.processed has appeared - what's changed in the last week?

    Resolved Navigation

I've inadvertently clicked on something and lost the navigation panel on the left of the screen. Where are the controls for this? I can't seem to find them anywhere. No access to Domains etc. Mutter, mutter, mumble, Keith.

Issue Log rotate - faulty file generation

In the absence of any help whatsoever from support staff I have come up with a solution which is a dirty fix. I have written a php script that is triggered every 15 minutes that copies all the files in: /var/www/vhosts/system/mysite.com/logs/ to: /var/www/vhosts/mysite.com/newlogs/ where I have...

Issue Log rotate - faulty file generation

Hi Igor, Yes I have read it. Before my first posting, I did the following: 1. I changed the log rotate settings back and forth and clicked OK. 2. I tried cloning the profile and changing the site to use that profile. 3. I tried rebooting the server. Non of the above had any effect on the...

    Issue FTP access

Hi, I eventually got round the problem by running a cron job every 15 minutes that copies the log directories to where I have FTP access - messy but it works. Now on to the next problem - why one of the log rotate setups is fouled up. Keith. 'If the software works, it's not got enough features'.

Issue Log rotate - faulty file generation

One domain (of 9 on my VPS) is faulty: # cat /usr/local/psa/etc/logrotate.d/mydomain.com shows: #ATTENTION! # #DO NOT MODIFY THIS FILE BECAUSE IT WAS GENERATED AUTOMATICALLY, #SO ALL YOUR CHANGES WILL BE LOST THE NEXT TIME THE FILE IS GENERATED...

    Issue FTP access

Hi Igor, I have very little experience of Linux so I use AceFTP from my Windows laptop. Although I can use Putty to access the root, AceFTP cannot access root with the same password. As I access my web logs several times a day, I don't want to have to type in numerous Linux commands instead of...

    Issue FTP access

Looking at 1 of the sites on my server, bucklandcourt.com: I have always used FTP to access my log files. The FTP root is: /var/www/vhosts/bucklandcourt.com/ - so I put the html stuff in: /var/www/vhosts/bucklandcourt.com/httpdocs/ and see what I thought to be log activity in...

    Issue FTP access

My VPS provider (123-reg) has updated me to 12.5 - and after some discussion I find I do not have FTP access to my raw web logs. I have invested a lot of time and money in creating special analysis programs which has been lost - so Plesk is financially culpable. How does Plesk plan to remedy...

unable to access statistics folder after update #55

OS CentOS 6.3 I'm unable to access the statistics folder after update #55 - using the panel or previously set up FTP accounts. This happens with all 7 web sites set up on my virtual server. Unfortunately I'm a total newcomer to Unix. Any help appreciated. TIA, Keith.
