• Hi, Pleskians! We are running a UX testing of our upcoming product intended for server management and monitoring.
We would like to invite you to have a call with us and have some fun checking our prototype. The agenda is pretty simple - we bring new design and some scenarios that you need to walk through and succeed. We will be watching and taking insights for further development of the design.
If you would like to participate, please use this link to book a meeting. We will sent the link to the clickable prototype at the meeting.
  • Our UX team believes in the in the power of direct feedback and would like to invite you to participate in interviews, tests, and surveys.
To stay in the loop and never miss an opportunity to share your thoughts, please subscribe to our UX research program. If you were previously part of the Plesk UX research program, please re-subscribe to continue receiving our invitations.
  • The Horde webmail has been deprecated. Its complete removal is scheduled for April 2025. For details and recommended actions, see the Feature and Deprecation Plan.

Issue Upgrade Plesk Version 17.8.11 to #94 failed

Issue [Bug] Performance/optimization suggests switching to modern PHP when using 8.4

Found a minor/trivial bug with the Performance Booster/optimization feature. It still suggests/allows you to "Switch to a modern PHP version (plesk-php83-fpm)" even if you're running PHP 8.4. The feature needs to check that the configured PHP version isn't newer than the suggested version.

Question URL rewriting not working with nginx

It's SMF and these are the rules the addon generates. The mod works fine when proxy mode is enabled regardless of the PHP configuration since it doesn't rewrite URLs for static files. This only happens when proxy mode is disabled and PHP is served by nginx. # Rules for: profiles rewrite...

Question URL rewriting not working with nginx

The forum software I use has an addon that rewrites URLs, and will automatically generate the appropriate nginx rules as well as writing a .htaccess file. However, when I paste the rules into the "additional directives for nginx" thing and save it, I still get 404 errors for everything when...

Question Forbid execution of PHP in WordPress directories

Use the option in the security settings in the WP Toolkit extension. It doesn't break things.

    Question Cloudflare and Plesk

Is there any documentation or a tutorial somewhere about how to set up Cloudflare and Plesk? I currently have several domains and all the DNS is currently managed through Plesk (I have the nameservers all set at ns1.myserver.com and ns2.myserver.com), but have been having a bunch of random bot...

    Question Submitting new Web Applications

Is there any documentation about how to add applications to Plesk's catalog? I know of something I'd like to see there and would like to work with the developers of that forum software to get it added. I found a page a while back about packaging them but can't find it now.

Resolved shrinker.py: no such file or directory

I've been getting emails related to a cron job which is apparently supposed to call a Python script to shrink the ModSecurity SDBM database (at least I assume that's what it's for since I found a similar utility on GitHub). Originally I was getting an error saying that the path to the python...

    Issue Can't enable plesk-modsecurity jail for fail2ban

Any suggestions? I get a similar error if I try to add a new jail (for instance one banning IPs for failed login to the mail server)

    Issue IPv6 unreachable?

Any suggestions/recommendations here? I don't specifically need IPv6 but if I've got an address available it would be nice to be able to use it.

    Issue Can't enable plesk-modsecurity jail for fail2ban

Ubuntu 20.04, ModSecurity 2.9. Not sure about fail2ban but I'm assuming it's 0.11.2 since that's the latest version

    Issue IPv6 unreachable?

Here's the contents of /etc/netplan/10-plesk.yaml as well if that's any help.

    Issue IPv6 unreachable?

When I moved to my new VPS recently I added the IPv6 address to Plesk as well. I thought all was well and was able to assign it to three different domains. However, it's now saying the IP is not configured properly and won't let me remove it from the affected domains. Clicking the "repair" link...

    Issue Can't enable plesk-modsecurity jail for fail2ban

I deleted that VPS because I no longer needed it, so I can't compare the files. Should I uninstall and reinstall fail2ban and ModSecurity?

    Issue Can't enable plesk-modsecurity jail for fail2ban

I just moved to a new VPS and am finalizing Plesk configuration. The monitoring thing says that "fail2ban" is switched off. In reality only the "plesk-modsecurity" jail is inactive, but trying to activate it fails with the following message: What does this mean and how do I fix it? I did find a...

Resolved Can't login to SSH as root

Enabling PermitRootLogin in /etc/ssh/sshd_config works. I had it in /etc/sshd_config instead.
