i've just applied 8.6.0.5 successfully from 'Server\Updater' in the control panel. i'm not sure if this is the same hotfix as the one which failed - but i'm now updated.

have you recently upgraded to 8.3? i have recently upgraded to 8.3 and i don't have a pleskbackup any more either. i would expect to find a link to it in /usr/loca/psa/bin, but it's not there. and it isn't anywhere else, as far as i can see.

maybe i'm blind or senile (or both), but my linux/unix 8.3 seems to be missing pleskrestore . very irritating.

check your /etc/hosts . horde needs localhost to be defined - if it isn't you'll get the 'Login failed' response. so if your /etc/hosts looks like this: 127.0.0.1 <domain.tld> you should change it to look like this: 127.0.0.1 localhost localhost.localdomain 123.456.789.123 <domain.tld>

updating PSA 8.0.0 using the autoinstaller fails because this URL: http://autoinstall.plesk.com/PSA_8.0.0/dist-rpm-CentOS-4.2-i386/plesk-8.0.0-cos4.2-i386.hdr.gz produces a 404.

looking back through my support notes, i've come to the conclusion that it was the/a plesk 7.5.4 installer which was responsible. the problem with mail began just after a problem with the plesk cp was fixed. not exactly conclusive proof, i admit, but none of the other explanations / theories...

shutdown reboot brought PSA up again ok. i then repeated the autoupdate. this time it completed sucessfully. ??

plesk autoupdate from 7.5.2 to 7.5.3 has failed, at the point where mysql was being upgraded, leaving me with no functioning plesk. i am no unix expert and only just beginning to get a bit of experience administering plesk. can anyone help? this is the log, from the end of the download...
