Hi everyone,
just a warning, so that you can get around this silly feature / nightmare with your customers losing trust in you as a serious hoster.
Tonight, we did a planned Database cluster maintenance and upgrade. Everything went well and smoothly, but as planned, the application servers were offline for around 30 minutes.
This morning I had around a hundred of emails in my inbox from frightened customers, that got an email from Plesk that sounded like this (freely translated):
This is insane - who in the freaking hell would create this kind of notification based on the fact that a simple process stalled after 60 seconds??! Customers are freaking out over messages that contain the word "malware". It's like when your car doesn't start and the diagnostic says that probably the engine has been stolen. It's just ridiculous!
