7.5.4 on Debian 3.1 Horde folder downloads

I am running Plesk 7.5.4 Reloaded on a Debian 3.1 box. I am having difficulty in downloading mail folders from Horde.

If there are only, say, 15-20 small text messages in a folder, the compressed archive becomes available to download as a .zip file in under 30 seconds.

One folder has 230 messages in it, the process seems to time out and I am never presented with an opportunity to download the archive.

Any suggestions? What is the practical limit to this?
