Hello,

I was wondering where do I find (global) mysql my.cnf ?
Does mysql allow use of .my.cnf (my.cnf in user home dir), if it does, where to put it?
- In the root ~/ or in ~/etc ?

Oh yeah, mysql version is 4.0.20.

thank you.

I've only got one my.cnf

[root@titan links]# locate my.cnf
/etc/my.cnf
[root@titan links]#

And how about user specific my.cnf?
Is it being read by mysql? And if so where to put it? In the user root or user etc folder?
