• Hi, Pleskians! We are running a UX testing of our upcoming product intended for server management and monitoring.
We would like to invite you to have a call with us and have some fun checking our prototype. The agenda is pretty simple - we bring new design and some scenarios that you need to walk through and succeed. We will be watching and taking insights for further development of the design.
If you would like to participate, please use this link to book a meeting. We will sent the link to the clickable prototype at the meeting.
  • (Plesk for Windows):
MySQL Connector/ODBC 3.51, 5.1, and 5.3 are no longer shipped with Plesk because they have reached end of life. MariaDB Connector/ODBC 64-bit 3.2.4 is now used instead.
  • The Horde webmail has been deprecated. Its complete removal is scheduled for April 2025. For details and recommended actions, see the Feature and Deprecation Plan.

Issue Accept local mails without domain?

blindzero

New Pleskian
Server operating system version
Ubuntu 22.04
Plesk version and microupdate number
18.0.59 Update #2
It seems that something is generating emails to www-data address without domain:

Code:
from=<[email protected]> to=<www-data>
Mar 16 02:17:06 domain plesk-sendmail[3836147]: S3836146: add-from: stderr: PASS
Mar 16 02:17:06 domain plesk-sendmail[3836147]: S3836146: py-limit-out: stderr: ERROR:__main__:Rejecting forged message: PPP_SENDER_VHOST_ID is present in environment, but its value is empty
Mar 16 02:17:06 domain plesk-sendmail[3836147]: S3836146: py-limit-out: stderr: DATA REPLY:554:5.7.0 Your message could not be sent. The sender's domain is not registered in Panel, or is misconfigured.
Mar 16 02:17:06 domain plesk-sendmail[3836147]: S3836146: py-limit-out: stderr: REJECT

Is there any way to accept these mails and route to a default domain hosted on the server?

The recipient is not a problem, but you cannot send mails from an unknown domain. Just choose any existing sender domain on the host when sending mails. It could be the hostname itself.

Hi @Peter Debik
I am sorry, but I don't believe this is the reason:
The Domain I know, it is may main domain, even the one for my login here and is also matching the plesk server name.

Or at least there must be some other setting that is interfering here.

The only thing I could find is that if Litespeed is installed incorrectly, it may lead to the given symptom.

I recommend opening a support ticket with Plesk support so that engineers can check the issue directly on your server.

To sign-in to support please go to https://support.plesk.com

If you experience login issues, please see this KB article:

If you bought your license from a reseller, your reseller should provide support for you. If the reseller does not provide support, here is an alternative:

Have the same error after Updating to Debian 12 and Plesk 18.0.61 Update 1: Do you found a solution?

Can't contact Plesk-Support because i bought my licence at a reseller.
