• Please be aware: Kaspersky Anti-Virus has been deprecated
With the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.64, "Kaspersky Anti-Virus for Servers" will be automatically removed from the servers it is installed on. We recommend that you migrate to Sophos Anti-Virus for Servers.
  • The Horde webmail has been deprecated. Its complete removal is scheduled for April 2025. For details and recommended actions, see the Feature and Deprecation Plan.
  • We’re working on enhancing the Monitoring feature in Plesk, and we could really use your expertise! If you’re open to sharing your experiences with server and website monitoring or providing feedback, we’d love to have a one-hour online meeting with you.

TITLE:
Add password requirements to "Enter new password" dialog in customer password-reset function
PRODUCT, VERSION, OPERATING SYSTEM, ARCHITECTURE:
All versions, CentOS 7, 64-Bit
PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
https://talk.plesk.com/threads/sugg...-of-password-reset-dialog.342109/#post-821075

A customer has forgotten his password. He enters his user name and e-mail address. Plesk mails him a password-reset link. On the dialog page that this link opens, the customer is prompted to enter a new password.

All customers fail doing that, because they do not know the requirements of that new password, e.g. "at least n characters long", "at least one special character", "at least one capital letter" and so on.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE:
Request new password through "forgot password" link on login screen.
ACTUAL RESULT:
No requirements for new passwords mentioned on password reset dialog (the page where customers can enter a new password + password repetition).
EXPECTED RESULT:
Password requirements mentioned to customers. Else they don't know what to enter. Alternative: Provide a "generate" and "display" button.
