after upgrade, resolves IPs not hostnames

Is there a way to have BIND automatically resolve/use hostnames instead of IPs? Before upgrading to Plesk 7.5.4 from 7.1.4? I think it was, DNS was resolving all IPs and hostnames and keeping them as hostnames, which is what I want. Now, everything becomes an IP when the server is accessed.
