We noticed that Plesk installs it's own nginx package:
- sw-nginx-1.5.0 on CentOS 6
- sw-nginx-1.6.0 on CentOS 7
We are hesitant in relying on Parallels to provide timely released security updates of the Nginx software (1.6.0 and 1.5.0 are behind on important security updates!). If possible, we would like to be able to rely on a yum channel that provides security updates for nginx.
Could Plesk make this possible, e.g.: if one has enabled a yum channel that provides a recent version of nginx, Plesk will use this package in stead.
FYI: EPEL on CentOS 7 provides Nginx 1.6.2; Atomic on CentOS 6 provides Nginx 1.6.2.
