• The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Apache configuration templates

I am working on a trial version of plesk 10.4 and lets just say the test version is not going well in the slightest.

Today I deleted a customer account and the domains it had in it. Now I am getting apache errors and it won't create anymore accounts, nor will apache stop or restart

This is an error email I get

------

Generating new Apache configuration on host <grw02.serversure.net> failed because the following error(s) occurred:

httpd: Syntax error on line 221 of /etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf: Syntax error on line 7 of /etc/httpd/conf.d/zz010_psa_httpd.conf: Syntax error on line 5 of /usr/local/psa/admin/conf/vhosts_bootstrap.conf: Could not open configuration file /var/www/vhosts/******.co.uk/conf/13322492720.14063200_httpd.include: No such file or directory

Please fix error(s) in templates of Apache configuration and retry generating the configuration file.

Anyone have any idea how to fix this before I call time on the plesk experiment, don't really want to go back to cpanel but looking more and more likely.

Any help appreciated..

Too late for plesk, moved to cpanel. Much more support than here.. already up and running.

Bye plesk...

Why SW ? WHY ?!?!?

Like the post above, I've had nothing but trouble since v.10

I do small PHP/MySQL projects that require abit more control that standard webhosting packages can offer.

I've been with PLESK for many many years and have seen it's panel go down-the-drain over the last few.

I've been renting a dedicated server from ThePlanet for many years, now that the panel is at 10.2... god... problems after problems.

Yesterday, one of the domains went past it's expiry date, and now APACHE does not run, does not want to start, etc...

Command of "/etc/init.d/httpd start" give me:

Starting httpd: [Sat Apr 07 14:28:32 2012] [warn] module ssl_module is already loaded, skipping
(98)Address already in use: make_sock: could not bind to address [::]:443
no listening sockets available, shutting down
Unable to open logs
[FAILED]

I cant' upgrade the panel beyond 10.2

When I run " cat /etc/*-release ", I get "CentOS release 4.7 (Final)". Yes, it's past it, if it's true.

YUM confing files were pointing to yum.theplanet.com with doesnt exist any more as they are now SoftLayer.
Tried to change them conf file to vault.centos.org/[version]; and get yum to upgrade but every version I tr fails due to missing dependencies.

I can't update the psa-autoinstaller as some of the KB suggests as the download section of the SW site does not have it, but just the full PLESK distribution.

I have tried the webmng function to rebuild all the configurations, but still APACHE will not start.

Why has SW change their model so much for v.10 ?!?!? I was happy with the prvious system; Client -> Site. Not this stupid subscription system that does not migrate well from V9
