• The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Apache hangs when restarting (process keeps it in use)

2 times every day we are restarting our plesk service. Sometimes when restarting it doesnt come back up again because port 443 is still in use by a program with owner apache. (program: .sh). Now after my script gives a stopall it should also kill the apache processes.. just to be sure.

Does someone know howto kill a process by user?

Well thats the problem. The process isn't named httpd. Its named sh but killing everything with sh might cause system damage... so thats why i cant kill it that way. i need to kill all the processes running on user apache. regardless of there names

Why would you have a process running as apache named "sh"? Sounds like you picked up a worm, probably explains why you have to restart apache twice a day too.
