I just installed a new server that has lots of memory 64gb, and 40 cores and very fast SAS drives. It is MUCH slower than my old server which only had 8 cores and half the memory.
apachectl configtest takes 2 minutes to complete the old server took 2 seconds
apachectl graceful takes about 5 minutes to complete, the old server took 3 seconds
apachectl -M takes 2 minutes, the old server was under 1 second.
Something is very wrong. This is a new install. It was done by installing the minimal install followed by installing Plesk Obsidian and allowed it to install everything for me. No manual changes have been made, plesk gets to manage everything regarding apache.
systemctl restart httpd takes over 5 minutes before the sites come back.
I would appreciate any info anyone can provide about what could be slowing this down. Websites do run fast when apache is running.
> apachectl -v
