• The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

App Pool Reconfigure Problem

CihanN

New Pleskian
Hello,

Windows 2003 - Plesk 10.4.4

This is the problem:
Sometimes(not all the times), adding a new domain/changing web hosting settings of a domain/removing a domain causes stopping and starting all Application pools at once. We're using a different pool for each website so there are too many application pools. Plesk stops all application pools, after they all stopped, it starts them again and process is complete. I think it is reconfiguring all of them for no reason. As there are too many application pools, this process takes nearly 10 minutes to complete which means 10 minutes of "service unavaible" for each website. This happens 3-4 times in a day so our customers are rightfully complaining about this problem. Weird thing, this doesn't always happens(thankfully).

For example, websrvmng.exe --reconfigure-all takes too many hours to complete because plesk randomly stops/starts all application pools while processing domains.

We didn't have this problem when using plesk 9.5, it started after upgrading to Plesk 10.

Please note that this is not an overloaded server. CPU is working always below 50%.

Please help me solve this issue, I couldn't find anything regarding to this problem.

Regards,
Cihan
