Auto-reply for email alias

Hi,
I have just enabled Auto-reply on a few mailboxes, and the Auto-reply works. However, if i send a test message to an alias on these mailboxes, i get no Auto-reply. Is this by design or is this not working correctly?

Can you please check the mail logs and let me know what error are you getting ?
