Autoinstaller Problems after Upgrade to 8.1

Guest
Hi,

I did an upgrade from 8.01 to 8.1 using the autoinstaller recently, which was working well. Now there are some further updates for 8.1 listed in the updater, but when I try to install these updates I get a mail "Plesk autoupdate failure report".

I try to install these packages (via the Updater):

Component || Your release || Latest release || Status
Base packages of Plesk || Dec 12, 2006 || Dec 26, 2006 || An update is available
Plesk API [former Plesk Agent] || Sept 4, 2006 || Dec 26, 2006 || An update is available
Plesk Backup Manager || Dec 26, 2006 || Dec 26, 2006 || An update is available
Plesk migration manager || Sept 4, 2006 || Dec 26, 2006 || An update is available

The failure report contain this lines:
...
Getting packages to installation list:
Get packages to installation from selected component base
Get packages to installation from selected component backup-vz
Get packages to installation from selected component api
Get packages to installation from selected component pmm
resolve packages with apt-get
apt-get say following:

You might want to run `apt-get -f install' to correct these:
The following packages have unmet dependencies:
psa-hotfix1: Depends: psa-8.0.1 but it is not installable
psa-migration-manager: Depends: db4.2-util but it is not going to be installed
Depends: libdb3-util but it is not going to be installed

catch error with message: Error while resolve packages by apt

Any idea what to do? Thanks a lot!

Kind regars,

If you're comfortable with the console, you could try a fresh "apt-get update", then "apt-get -f install".

If that doesn't work, post what the response is, and can go from there.

Alternatively, i've seen some cases of debian + plesk where you just need to run the updater through the control panel multiple times.

Thanks for your feedback. I tried what you said, but it wasn't working again. This is the console output (shortened):

Any further idea? Thanks a lot!

Could you post all of the response from apt-get -f install?

It is working now: I did a restore from the backup I created before the upgrade to 8.1.

In the plesk interface updater there were two entries, 8.01 and 8.1. There were updates available for both.

The first time I did an update directly to 8.1, because I thought that this will include also all changes from 8.01. But this caused the problems i posted here.

After the restore I did first install all updates for 8.01, and after this I upgraded to 8.1. This was working well, an d I have not found any problems yet.

Cheers,
Lurker
