  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.

Backup hangs and domains locked out

Plesk Reloaded 7.5.4
Suse 9.1

Recently we've started to get scheduled backups locking up on the above system. When it fails, it leaves the domains being backed up "Temporarily disabled for backup".

Last time it happened, a reboot (master power switch, not OS, because the OS hung) and some low-level fiddling (changing domain status in MySQL etc.) fixed it all.

It's happened again over the weekend, and despite rebooting twice, changing the domain status back to 0 in the psa database, running killall psadump (gleaned from another thread on a similar subject) I can't get access to the domains again, which is about to be very awkward.

Does anyone know how to manually undo the backup lockout in 7.5.4? And ideally how to stop it happening again (plenty of disk space, all the domains backup fine most nights, but now and again it just falls over).

Cheers,

Pete

Poor form commenting to self, but:

Have re-enabled the domains following instructions laid out in another thread I've just found:

http://forum.swsoft.com/showthread.php?threadid=26476

The only remaining problem is that trying to go into "Setup" on any individual domain causes everything to hang, and I can't crack that bit!
