  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Hi,

On our Plesk server I cannot create an SQL dabatase. The SQL Express Server 2005 is working and running, but I cannot create a "new database server" from the GUI.

As you can see from the attachments:

- SQL Express Server 2005 is up and running.
- Only have mysql running at the moment.
- Don't have the option to add another database server.

Do I need a special license to run SQL 2005 Express edition?

Is there something I'm missing here? Any addtional steps I should try?

Thanks,

for ms sql server ( any version ), you need the powerpack that will enable the mssql server. To me, it is amusing because mssql server module should be included in the plesk license automatically while mysql should be included in powerpack. The reason is that mysql is usually used in non window environment until these days.
