can't send mails at all after 9.2.1 upgrade

After the upgrade from Plesk 9.0 to 9.2.1 I cannot send mails from my server at all.
I just receive a bounce like this one after a while:

Hi. This is the qmail-send program at server.
I'm afraid I wasn't able to deliver your message to the following addresses.
This is a permanent error; I've given up. Sorry it didn't work out.

<[email protected]>:
213.165.64.100 does not like recipient.
Remote host said: 550-5.7.1 {mx117} Sorry, your helo has been denied.
550 5.7.1 ( http://portal.gmx.net/serverrules )
Giving up on 213.165.64.100.

I've already disable all SPF, spam protection and Dr. web antivirus but it doesn't help.
Any idea what to do?

I can receive mails fine though.

Best Regards,
Andreas

No, sadly this hasn't fixed the problem.
Any other idea?

Yeah, do what I did. Consider going to Parallel's offices and
re-educating them the 'proper' way so we don't have to deal
with junk like this.

Then, go Postfix. We didn't want to change off of Qmail
either, but they've abandoned it in place like other stuff
and didn't tell anyone. While some internal stuff still worked
like Mailman, etc. and Root mails, clients were locked out
of sending anything - at all. And not HAPPY either.

So, out of total frustration I pulled Qmail and put Postfix
in using Autoinstaller. And like magic (where we know how
it's done) it works.

Now, of course accidentally hitting the wrong # - we're
stuck with SiteBuilder we can't eliminate causing errors
but at least we're getting more data on mail problems we
can then block/whack!

SMTP auth problem solution for 9.2.1

Hello,

After three very long days, we solved the problem simply by commenting out our previous alt port for SMTP in /etc/services, since plesk already has it (in /etc/services its called "submission") and it's enabled in Settings>mail>Enable message submission

Before, we were able to send on port 25, but not on the alt.

While the port actually was open, it was only listening...
Telnetting to port 587 connected.
Then we ehlo, and it worked.
Then we "auth login"... and this is where it booted us.

If your users keep getting asked for their password again and again, or you get a 5.5.1 (551) error, this might solve your problem.

Briefly, run a:
less /etc/services | grep 587
you should only see two lines (submission). If you see more, comment out the other ones.

Cheers :)

I had a similar issue. After upgrade Plesk to version 9.2.1 all my emails are going to yahoo spam folder. Something with the DKIM is not working, I am getting in the email headers DKIM (NO SIG). How can I manually fix this in Qmail ?

Thanks !
