  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.

can't upgrade base package in updater

Hello,

I'm trying to use updater, I have several servers and only had this problem on one of them. When I try and update the Base packages for Plesk, I get the following email (indicating success):
Download file versions.inf3: 100% done
Download file PSA_7.5.4/plesk-7.5.4-rhel3-i386.inf3: 100% done
Checking for system installed packages...done.
Check for components installation status
Reading system installed packages...done.
Download file plesk-7.5.4-rhel3-i386.hdr.gz: 100% done
Download file plesk-7.5.4-rhel3-i386.hdr.gz: 97%..100% done
Resolve components
Get Plesk product packages.
Get system update packages.
Start packages installation
Installation done.

but when I go back to Updater, it shows there are still updates available for Base packages... however both my release and the latest release have the same date: Aug 23, 2005.

If I try to update any other package besides the base package, the email I get sent looks pretty much the same but contains "There are some also needed components will installed too: 'base'"... and the same thing happens, the packages aren't updated (however on all other updateable packages besides base, the latest version date is later than the version I have, indicating they are not updated).

Any idea what's going on? It looks like I DO have the latest version of base, Plesk just isn't marking something correctly so that I can update the other packages.

Any help is greatly appreciated, Thanks

so this apparently has caused a problem with Apache HTTPD restarting and now my website has been down for almost a whole day (and my clients' sites as well).

this is making me very wary of ever using updater again... I'm working with tech support at my data center, who supposedly is working with SWSoft support, but says they haven't been able to offer much help.

does anybody have any ideas?

thanks

server back online, it was a bad line in php init file that was calling an old version of ion cube initializer and causing apache to fail

this is fixed, but I still have problem in Updater where it says base packages are available but I can't get it to update because my date & latest date are the same...
