• The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Catch all Domains

Hi Guys,

Just a quick question as I'm struggling to find the answer to it. What is the best way to get all my domain names to resolve to a certain page using plesk?

What I mean is that I would like domains that point to my nameserver to goto a landing page. basically I sell a few domain names and if possible don't want to add a new one as a domain alias as I am doing at the moment.

Hopefully I'd just be able to catch anything that hits my nameservers to appear at this standard holding page, like a "This name is for sale page".

Hopefully there will be a way or I'm entering 900 domain names into my alias page.

Thanks in advance
Graeme

What about using API method for adding domain aliases?

Hi Mate,

I think that might be the only way to be honest, unless there is an alternative.

I was just hoping there was a way I wouldn't need to add future names to the domain alias system, just reason being is that I get around 6-7 new names being added and deleted each day. It would make my life very straightforward if I could just change the nameservers on them and forget about them.

It's not a major thing, like you said there is work arounds, was just hoping it had been done before by someone.

Do you know if there is an existing api that could do it, or would it need to be built from scratch?

Many thanks
Graeme

Cheers
