• The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

CentOS Apache Page versus default.html on Preview

Hi,
I just got a server with Plesk, and I move one domain in a test, still awaiting DNS changes to take effect.

Anyway, I checked the files with file manager for the domain, and everything is there from the original. Howerver, when I do to Site Preview a CentOS (which is what the server is) Apache page comes up versus the default.html or index.html.

The site had an index.html file, so I think the migration manager named the index.html from the skelton default.html (actually..I don't think..I checked the file, it did).

My question is why would it show the Apache default page over the accounts default page?

I can load the files on domain, only issues i have are with the preview using https, and some items like CSS linked file don;t work. That is fine I would expect things like that. I just want to make sure my transfered sites will work, and that I can dictate the skeleton file or a reseller can, not just the apache default page (Yes, I know I could find and alter that, I want it to work properly though).

Thanks in advance.

Ok DNS works for the root of domain now, and I do load the Cent OS default page, which is neither the default.html or index.html

Note: default.html came from the old host, my mistake above, and it is index.htm that is out main file. It it because it is not named .html?

Here a blurb from the page I receive:
If you are the website administrator:
You may now add content to the directory /var/www/html/. Note that until you do so, people visiting your website will see this page, and not your content. To prevent this page from ever being used, follow the instructions in the file /etc/httpd/conf.d/welcome.conf.

You are free to use the images below on an Apache and CentOS powered HTTP servers. Thanks for using Apache and CentOS!

Now I feel really stupid...I changed it to .html and it works fine...'

so now I have to ask...in plesk can I edit the httpd.conf file from the CP or will I need to go into the shell?
