CGI/Perl not working on new install 8.1.1 w/restore

We had to rebuild a server that was running 8.1.1.

Went and did a new install and restored from backup.

None of our CGI/Perl stuff is working. Im getting Internal Server 500 errors. Perl is installed though.

I checked permissions and they seem to be fine 755. I we do got CGI scripts that run outside the cgi-bin folder on some sites. Could this be the problem?

thanks

Check that youe suexec file is the right one and has not been overwritten by a non-plesk one. you should have a backup copy somewhere called psa_suexec or suexec-psa or something like that.

Every time you update apache this can happen and you need to copy a known good plesk one over the one that gets written by the apache rpm.
