• Halloween is coming! To celebrate the occasion, we dusted off a couple of old skins, and even created a brand new one (Pixel).
    To get into the festive spirit, install the Skins extension.
  • The new Python extension is now available. It allows customers to deploy and manage WSGI-based Python applications on their websites directly from Plesk.
  • The Plesk Mobile apps for iOS and Android and the Plesk Mobile Center extension have been deprecated, and are no longer available for new installations. In Plesk Obsidian 18.0.84, the Plesk Mobile Center extension will be removed from servers during the upgrade, and the Plesk Mobile apps will lose their server management features.
  • The Social Login extension has been deprecated and will be removed in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.84. After that, it will no longer be possible to log in to Plesk with a Google, Facebook, GitHub account, or with a passkey. Plesk usernames and passwords, as well as logging in with a WebPros Account, are not affected.

Issue Spam detection software email instead of moving spam to spam folder

Frostbolt

Basic Pleskian
Server operating system version
Debian 13.7
Plesk version and microupdate number
18.0.80 Update 7
At some point in the past, we tried Plesk Email Security but uninstalled it later. Afterwards, we moved the domain to a new server.

The issue is that even though I have configured the mailbox with the setting "Move spam to the Spam folder", I still get the spam in the inbox with "Spam detection software, running on the system has identified this incoming email as possible spam. " When I check the logs, I see:

2026-09-15 17:02:38 spam [2108727] 5749A20259: SPAM detected_by=spamassassin action=move
2026-09-15 17:02:38 dovecot [2108730] service=lda, user=[email protected], ip=[]. sieve: msgid=<88061610Q64610145D57183853T55623048D@mta.acyyths.talent-school.one>: fileinto action: stored mail into mailbox 'INBOX'

I've checked .dovecot.sieve file for the inbox, and it shows:
require ["fileinto"];
# rule:[Plesk Email Security]
if header :contains "X-Spam-Flag" "YES" {
fileinto "INBOX";
}
even though Plesk Email Security is not installed. When I try to repair the mailbox, nothing happens. When I switch the spam options to force the configuration to be rebuild for the mailbox, the issue remains.
The only way for me to fix the issue is to delete the .dovecot.sieve file.

It would be nice if Plesk cleans up the mail security extension installs better, and adds this to the mail repair utility to fix the issue.

I'm probably not the only one with the issue, looking at Issue - I get spam report mail instead of moving to the spam folder which seems to be related.
