Change maximum connections for IMAP

I want to change the maximum connections for IMAP. I read somewhere that it is stored in the configuration. Default=4. Could anyone tell me where it is stored?

Basically locate and edit the files 'imapd' and 'pop3d' on your server, change the MAXPERIP=4 to some higher value.
