• The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Client Domain backups running even though none are scheduled

We're having a problem where a client domain is generating backups every 15 minutes that are being dumped to the root of the server (as root). There are no backup schedule settings setup in the client domain, and Plesk the timing matches the Plesk maintenance cronjob.

This is causing the server to quickly run out of space. I've asked our provider to temporarily disable the cron job for Plesk until this is resolved. Our provider doesn't see any backup settings where Plesk would usually store them. So where do we move forward from here?

My provider had flushed the backup settings table (hence why there were no backup settings stored). Since then we disabled the cron task. Created a new backup schedule, then re-enabled the cron task. The problem has not continued.
