Resolved CloudFlare active, but traffic not getting routed through it

I activated CloudFlare for my subscription "aragato.com"
In Plesk as well as on the CloudFlare Website it says everything is setup correctly and your website is served through CF. However, it is not.

I tracerouted the domain and it goes directly to my server. No CloudFlare whatsoever. Additionally, the CloudFlare monitor in Plesk for that specific domains says 0 requests server etc.


What am I missing? The CloudFlare Extension in Plesk automatically changed the DNS Settings for that domain. Do I have to save the DNS settings again or is it done automatically?


Do I have to change my A Entries at my Domain provider for the domain to some cloudflare entries?


Please Help. I looked everywhere but I am unable to find anything helpful.

Hi Aragato,

your Plesk server is not the initial nameserver for your domain, it's the nameserver from your domain registrar ( see results for example at: https://www.dnswatch.info/dns/dnslookup?la=en&host=aragato.com&type=A&submit=Resolve ).
Pls. add the missing DNS - entries over the Control Panel from your domain registrar.

Apart from that, it is not necessary to anonymize IPs, if you provide a FQDN.

Thank you. However, I am not sure what specific nameserver entries I should do at my domain registrar.
The ones that to the DNS settings of the domain?:
ns1.first-ns.de.
robotns2.second-ns.de.
robotns3.second-ns.com.

Good to know about the unnecessity of anomizing IPs. I will know it for the next time.

I just added another site manually through the CloudFlare website. In that process you will receive the correct nameserver addresses that need to be changed.
I did not receive that information when using the extension in Plesk.

Plesk (ServerShield - Cloudflare), with Host API would set up the whole DNS thing over CNAMEs.
Its all about FULL DNS (directly over CF) or Partial DNS (through Add on)

No, I don't have problem with extension. I just can't to set records on Domain side.
