I'm using version 10.4.4 plesk panel and coldfusion 9.0.1.
I have a simple access database with some names and numbers in it that I want password protected.
I can successfully connect if I use the coldfusion administrator directly, but when I try to add the coldfusion datasource through plesk using the same settings (Admin for username), it says there is a password error and the datasource won't work in coldfusion. If I go and re-enter the password directly in the coldfusion administrator the datasource works, but plesk still says it is not working.
All of this I didn't mind too much, but then I started getting backup errors. So every day I'll get an error message saying the datasource settings could not be backed up.
I went in and selected "Test DSN connection" in plesk and it was able to successfully verify the DNS and it was fine for about a day, but then it goes back to having an error with it and the next day I’ll start getting more backup errors.
The datasource works fine with my coldfusion application (after I re-entered the password in the coldfuson administrator), so there are no problems there, it is only an issue of plesk passing an incorrect password to the coldfusion administrator which causes problems with how plesk handles the DSN.
OS Microsoft Windows 6.1;build-7601;sp1.0;suite272;product3
