Trying to set up a somewhat typical git-based website workflow (something like this: https://gist.github.com/oodavid/1809044).
Our set up has the git repo for the site in /var/www/git/<site>, and a deploy.php script in /var/www/vhosts/domain/<site> (i.e. the 'site' is a subdomain). The script would do a git pull and git checkout from the repo dir to the live dir.
At the moment we made the git repo www-data:www-data, and the deploy script www-data
saserv. It's not working yet, and i guess permissions are the problem. What user does apache run as under Plesk 12 (Debian)? What user/group should we be using for this setup?
