Hello there...
For some days now I cannot configure to use ssl via the imaps ports and I'm in really need of it...
First of all I made my own certificate using mkimapdcert
I've used various combinations in the /etc/courier-imap/imapd-ssl providing the sslv3 in various ports - with or without tls, using the certificate that I generated before...
The only way which worked was to enable tls1 in the 143 port but this way the Imp cannot work because it requires php 5 for tls connections...
The problem with all other configurations is:
when i try to test the ssl connection with:
openssl s_client -ssl3 -connect localhost:993 -state
I get:
CONNECTED(00000003)
SSL_connect:before/connect initialization
SSL_connect:SSLv3 write client hello A
SSL3 alert read:fatal:handshake failure
SSL_connect:failed in SSLv3 read server hello A
16031:error:14094410:SSL routines:SSL3_READ_BYTES:sslv3 alert handshake failure:s3_pkt.c:1052:SSL alert number 40
16031:error:1409E0E5:SSL routines:SSL3_WRITE_BYTES:ssl handshake failure:s3_pkt.c:529:
and in the /var/log/mail.info i get:
imapd-ssl: couriertls: connect error:1408A10B SSL routines SSL3 GET_$3_GET_CLIENT_HELLO wrong version number
I asked Plesk support about this but they told me that because i've bought plesk via a reseller they do not provide the 30 days of free support that they advertise so they want to extra charge me if i want them to help me...
what can I say???
